Olu Falae’s Kidnappers Arrested + Ransom Recovered


Following the abduction and later release of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Chief Olu Falae by kidnappers, the police have arrested six suspected members of the gang who abducted the chieftain.

Although details as to how the suspects were arrested is yet to come in, the suspects were alleged to have been arrested following a tip off on their identities as being members of the gang who abducted the Afenifere chief.

Chief Falae was abducted on  his 77th birthday when  some gunmen, particularly Fulani herdsmen numbering over 20,  invaded his farm at Ilado village, Akure North Area of Ondo state. He was freed four days later after a ransom of N5millon was allegedly paid to the kidnappers. After combing several locations in Ondo, Ekiti and Niger States, one of the suspects who was still in possession of his share of the ransom was then apprehended.
