A woman believes that she’s been visited while she was sleeping by either a ghost or some other form of intruder. Debra Demetriou, from Newcastle, claims that while scrolling through her phone she found a picture of herself taken on her phone while she was asleep.
She said that the discovery immediately sent a chill up her spine. The full-time mum said: ‘There was nobody else in the house at the time – I was completely freaked out.’ Her eldest son had gone to work 45 minutes before the picture was taken while her other son was with his father. She said the house was locked and there were no signs of a break-in.
‘I know you shouldn’t, but my phone had been under my pillow when I fell asleep,’ she recalled. It was still there the next morning. ‘I held down the picture to see the movement, and you can see both my arms are by my side so it couldn’t even have been a selfie.
And my eyes are half-open – if someone else had been in the room I’m sure I would have noticed them. I’m absolutely convinced nobody else was in the house.’ The picture has been seen by paranormal investigator Sammy Rawlinson who thinks that something more other-worldly might be responsible. ‘Spirits do things to get our attention,’ he said. ‘If someone has passed in the last year it could be them trying to get her attention.’
What do you think? A ghost, intruder or a sleeping selfie?
